WElcome TO Cole Team Avalanche!
Always check teachers' pages (English, Math, Social Studies and Science) for upcoming/ongoing assignments, class notes, assignment details, class work and handouts.
If you are absent, make your best effort to check your teachers' Weebly pages for class information before returning to school. When you return to school, check-in with your teachers in-person about making up class work, assignments, and assessments.
EXTRA HELP WITH TEACHERS: IF STUDENTS PLAN TO ATTEND EXTRA AN HELP SESSION WITH A TEACHER, THEY ARE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT THE EXTRA HELP SURVEY ON THAT INDIVIDUAL TEACHER'S WEB PAGE. STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT THIS SURVEY NO LATER THAN 9PM THE NIGHT BEFORE THE TEACHER'S EXTRA HELP SESSION.
Absent Student Checklist
Check Weebly after 4:00pm on the date of your absence and read the posted summaries/practice on the homepage and review updates, assignments and class notes on individual teacher pages.
Contact a classmate to clarify the missing assignments/classwork.
Create a list in your agenda (on the date of your absence) of work that needs to be completed.
Acquire handouts (Weebly/teachers’ classrooms).
Approach your teacher at an acceptable class time to have your agenda reviewed for accuracy of missing assignments.
If absent due to illness, you have two days for each day of absence to submit practice assignments/homework and classwork for full credit.
If absent due to a vacation or personal reasons unrelated to illness, work is due within three school days of your return to school.
All missed assessments/labs must be made up within a week of your return to school for full credit.
If you are absent for more than a week, please see each teacher to develop a schedule to complete your missed work.
If you are aware of an impending absence, notify your teacher prior to the scheduled absence.
Please, try to keep absences unrelated to illness to a minimum. Students only meet with their teachers four times a week, and missing classes can quickly set a student back.
